Laminate Install Question

When I put down the base moldings and quarter rounds along the perimeter of the room, do I put it down tight to the floor or leave some space?

Laminate Install Question

Hi, I do flooring for a living. Make sure you have a quarter inch gap around the perimiter, and then you can put down the base a shoe mold/quarter round down. You can set it on the floor. A gap between the trim and floor is not required. The floor will still float. Just don't force the trim down real tight. The sub floor should be pretty level if prepped right. Hope this helps you. Tony
