I have install the laminate floor and now need to put down the quarter round. Question #1: Do I nail to the wall or angle down to the floor away from the laminate so the floor can still float? Question #2: I have outside corners greater than 90 degrees and am having difficulty making those cuts. Any help would be appreciated.

I like to use long nails and drive them on enough of an angle that they miss the laminate, alowing it to still float, but also put a little downward pressure on the floor to help hold the quarter round tight to the floor.Do not nail through the floor, because if there is a problem and you call for a warranty claim, the rep will immediately jump on the fact that the floor could not float any longer, so sorry we can't help you, good bye. Most miter saws will cut a few degrees more than 45, but if that is not enough make a little wood jig to clamp to your fence . Make it a convenient angle to work with, like 10 degrees. Use it for the fence to hold your quarter round. If you determine that you need a 55 degree cut, set your saw to 45 ( 55 minus the 10 built into the jig)
