Laminate Flooring Install
I am going to be installing Laminate wood florring in a house and have a question. The flooring will cover the whole first floor (except the entry hall and bathroom). Should I cut the floor and add a threshold for the bedrooms or just one straing shot wall-to-wall, room-to-room. I know I need to leave a gap, but I have never installed Laminate flooring for the WHOLE House before!

How long is the run and how good is the flooring?

Check the flooring documentation it should give recommended distances between expantion joints.

I think you will find thresholds should be used in all doorways.

I agree. thresholds allow rooms to move seperately.

Well....The flooring is Not what I would have selected (i.e. she bought the cheapest). The Total Length run is about 40 Ft and width run is 29 ft. See attached pic (Brown represents where the flooring goes. Each square represents 1 sqft).
