What is the best brand of laminate flooring?

Quickstep is my favored laminate. Best locking system out there and a good price point. Armstrong is too high for what you are getting.

Laminate flooring I'm really confused
The answer depends partly on what you're looking for.
A couple years ago, when I was getting ready to finish a basement family room, I ran across some DuPont laminate flooring on clearance for 41 cents/square foot. 8 mil thickness. Maple finish. I was very surprised by how well it went in, how it locked down, and how well it's holding up. So who knows?  I would advise you to stay away from the 7 mil & 6 mil products.
