Laminate flooring gap at door threshold?

I will be installing laminate flooring along an exterior door threshold.

What would be the correct way to cover the recommended gap between the threshold and the plank?

The threshold piece is plastic so I don't know if I can nail quarter round to it or not, which is what I plan to do with the rest of the room. The floor will be about 1/2" lower than the top of the threshold.

Laminate flooring gap at door threshold?

A couple of dabs of construction adhesive will hold the 1/4 round in place.
