allen and roth laminate flooring is it ok to put this in a split level basement should i use an underlayment

Never heard of it. Did you try going on there web site?
All the instrutions and limitations should be right there. You have to install it the way the company states, not how someone on line suggest or no warrenty.

When you get around to reading the instructions you will learn; http://pdf.lowes.com/installationgui...36_install.pdf

The concrete must be very flat and dry. You need to do a calcium chloride moisture test and pass it. You must install 6 mil vapor barrier, and you must install the recommended underlayment among many other details.
