No, the moisture may make the partcle board backing swell and/or fall apart.

Ive used steam mop over my laminate for 2 years and had no issues, as long as your not soaking laminate you have to clean it some way imo.

I used to tell my wife not to use the steam mop on the super cheap laminate in one of our bathrooms because I thought it would cause problems. She's ignored me for 5 years now and it still looks as good as it ever has.
I think as long as its hot enough to dry quickly it's probably ok.

Yes put it on lowest setting. I actually have the shark steam mop like on tv. It works great. Lowest setting. Here is the one i have.
