laminate floor underlayment installation?

do I need to glue the underlayment to the OSB board subflooring? before laying glue-less laminate? or do I can also flow it there...? when laying underlayment, do I let the face with waterproof membrane facing down or facing up as the type I purchased is with a waterproof membrane foam type... and when the underlayment meet the wall, do I make it a bit more so that all laminate can seat on it at edge and then I can cut out extra by utility knife...? thanks for answering....

Kui****g:

No, don't glue the underlayment down. Let it lay were it is laid, the edges meeting each side of the underlayment should be 'taped' to each other, unless they have a factory way of adhering edge to edge.

Water proof membrane always face down.

Where the underlayment meets the wall; yes you could butt it there and cut the excess out to get a snug fit.
