laminate floor transitions

I'm going to have several places where laminate flooring is going to meet ceramic tile. I planned on using T moldings, but I've discovered that the laminate will be
about 1/8" higher than the existing tile.

I know they make a 'reducing' trim, but it is for a greater disparity than that, and would sit funny if I used it.

How would you solve this? Custom trim could be made, but..........$

I'm considering thinning the reducer trim to fit, but at this point I don't have the tools available (table saw or router table? Maybe I NEED to buy a tool? )

This is probably a simple matter IF you know what you're doing, but it's all new to me. I really want to do this floor right.

Thanks for any advice!

Gary

Well I think the wider the T strip less noticeable it will be 1/8 isn't extensive difference.
