Hey guys... s'been a long time since I've been on here.
Anyway.. I'm installing several rooms of laminate flooring for a friend and am trying to figure out how to keep it all contiguous. It's a small house and I'm doing 2 bedrooms, a livingroom, and a hallway... oh.. and a couple small closets (ugh... forgot about those).
I was lying awake just now trying to visualize how to get the planks under the jambs and continue the planks from room to room.
That's really not a good idea. Floating floors like that are generally recommended to have each room split into it's own plane. A closet on the side would be fine, but rooms off a hallway for example should have a tmold at the doorway. If you try and run the whole house as one contiguous plane you are creating too many point where it can bind if it shift too much.
