Laminate Floor Repair - Living Flooring brand
Through an accident in the stairwell last night the laminate at the base of the stairs was damaged. I confirmed the brand through left overs. It appears and was told its a floating floor installation. I removed the quarter round moldings thinking i could easily slide my crowbar under the first floor board and pop it off easily... I am getting a lot more resistance than i originally thought so i came here to get some guidance before my honey do becomes honey sleep on the couch.
Are you 100% sure it's laminite? Are the seam about every 3' along the length and each piece seam to seam about 6" on the width?
If it is then your going to have to remove enough 1/4 round to be able to lift a full lenght of it from one end to the other. There's no way to just lifit out one piece in the middle of a run, or middle of the floor.
Once the whole sections out it can come apart to replace the damaged piece.
You do already has a piece to replace the damaged one, right?
