Laminate floor installation/timing

Hey can I put the floor down in the rooms that are ready for it? Or... should I wait till all I need to do is flooring? Painting is all done, major construction all done. Waiting for help cutting the sink and some finish work on cabinets. Opinions please.

ooo I love this question. On the remodel shows they put flooring down before even painting, I always thought that was funny. Then I thought about the fact that you often have to paint trim that you put up around the floor (baseboards) and therefore would put in the floor, baseboards, caulk, then paint. Often flooring is also done before cabinets as I think it helps put cabinets at the right height, but seems like wasting a lot of money where you could just shim instead.

So, sunthas, is that an opinion. Is there an answer in there?

well, my opinion would be that you can do your floor whenever you want. But I was hoping some other people would post some opinions.

Actually the second major benefit before cabinets is lack of cutting as well as correct height. In most cases it's cheaper to do a complete room time wise than spend the time cutting and trimming all those corners.
