Converting part of my garage to a home office. I am nearing the flooring part and checked for level today. Using a 7' level I discovered the floor to be wavey from front to back. The gaps seem to be less than 1/4" at most. What are my options since I already have the drywall done and this is a 100 sq ft room?
Most laminate manufactures recommend the floor to be flat and smooth within 3/16" over a 10' span. Dips or variations in the sub floor greater than 3/16" over a 10' span need to be filled. There are several floor leveling compounds that can be used for this. One of my favorites is Ardex Feather Finish.
