konecto prestige absorbing hair color dye 911

Salon in search of some advice on a sealant for Konecto prestige floor. I had konecto prestige flooring recommended and installed recently by a flooring store. I am happy with the look of the flooring, however, I am experiencing some staining with dark hair color spills. Does anyone have any solutions to this situation? Perhaps something that I can seal this floor with? Unforunately I did not try to test a bit of color on the floor prior to having it installed. Lesson learned -is- do not rely on anyone's recommendation totally without having a liitle reservation. (one might think that if a flooring person new this was going in a hair salon that they would have not referred this flooring) I have used Pergo flooring in the past and have been very happy with the results because it seems to be indestructable for a hair salon.

Laminate flooring is stain proof and better for a salon.
Replacing planks in the only solution I can think of.
Why did you go with Konecto when you were already happy with another product?

That was a former salon that I am no longer Working at that saoln and that one had the Pergo flooring, I'm in a different salon now. Thanks for your input but i really would like some advice as to how to rectify this dilemma in a inexpensive manner. Any product such as polyurethane that would be safe to use?

That's why I was questioning it, because it seems to me you were happy with Pergo yet was convinced there was something better.
But that is neither here nor there.
You should not have been recommended the product.

There is no other solution...it's dye....it won't come out....

Problem is, it will happen again....

That so totally sucks-

"spill" lots more dye and have a whole new color? at least it'll look even?

So sorry for your troubles.
This is what the manufacturers site says -

Stain Removal:

To remove stubborn spots or stains from KONECTO Luxury Vinyl floors, always begin
with mild cleaners such as Konecto Cleaner. If this fails to remove stain, use mineral
spirits. Do not use harsh solvents such as acetone or lacquer thinner, as these can
permanently soften the vinyl surface.
For extreme staining (paints, permanent markers, dyes) try applying fingernail polish
remover containing acetone (not straight acetone) applied to a soft cloth and rubbing. Any damage resulting from use of pure solvents IS NOT covered by warranty. Always test stronger cleaning agents on sample pieces or in unnoticeable areas first.

For information regarding the proper method or solution to use on a specific stain, contact KONECTO’s Technical Department or check troubleshooting guide.

I don't know but maybe if it does not void the warranty and I could not find where it would or would not .... you could use a commercial wax type product to seal it. (like mop and glo but better) Konecto customer service may be able to tell you.

The sealer wouldn't stick.
But your heading in a possible direction if all else fails.

i wonder if you cleaned/replaced pieces to make new looking, then poured some clear 2 part epoxy over the whole thing? if stained, it would be easier to repair/clean?....maybe? idunno.... just an idea.....
