I have used Pergo flooring in the past and have been very happy with the results because it seems to be indestructable for a hair salon.
That's why I was questioning it, because it seems to me you were happy with Pergo yet was convinced there was something better.
But that is neither here nor there.
You should not have been recommended the product.

Replacing planks in the only solution I can think of.
There is no other solution...it's dye....it won't come out....
Problem is, it will happen again....
