konecto plank prestigue

Konecto plank prestigue -- installed professionally august 2007 over existing pine plank flooring ...good seams, rolled, looked great. w/in 6 months significant separating of both vertical & horizontal seams up to 1/4", many areas of lessor separation and a couple corners chipped. retailer and distributor & manufacturer all seem to be in agreement it is defect and some will be replaced & the lessor seams will be glued/filled. they will pay to remove woodstove & hearth to replace under vs the patch job i refused. it has been 6 months and it's still not fixed. retailer says waiting for the specialized distributor installer to break free from a large commercial job - so here i wait. :furious: product seems to be holding up well to my active dogs which is why i purchased....

response to florcraft : yes it was rolled however, there are problems of separating -- that was my point - and that it is very very very difficult to get the problem fixed - they are dragging their feet on getting here (2+ months thus far). just trying to let others know that first off all the product can have problems and the manufacturer is oh so slow to respond. buyer be ware. :(

Thanks for your input...I've read way too many negative reviews to even want to take the risk that mine will turn out right. I want a product that I will NOT have to deal with the vendor, installer, etc about after installation...

Think I'm opting for glue down...

DIY friendy + Popular product = lots of bad reviews.
Buy a non-DIY friendly products that is not popular and you could still have the same results

But believe what you want to....

I believe from my experience (which is vast...many jobs)
and not what I read....
