Kitchen plywood countertop glue?
Dear all, sort of new here, how are you doing?

We have a old kitchen countertop that I believe is made of plywood. The countertop was covered by a layer or thingy that I don't know what it is. See photos here:

Recently on the edges that layer is starting to peel off. I wonder what would be the best glue possible to glue this back (with short set time of course, as the peeling layer has the resistance to come off, and for this corner area I can't find a really heavy stuff to put on top of it)? Should I be using Epoxy glue? Thoughts or comments? Thanks!

Contact cement.

Yes contact cement. Try to carefully lift this loose section and clean under it the best you can first. You can use paint thinner. Put contact cement on both pieces (laminate and substrate. and allow to become dry to the touch then put the two together and press tightly.

After the loose piece is glued back together, all the inside corners should be caulked to prevent water or spills from getting into the joints.
