What would be the best option for laying a kitchen floor over concrete slab. Tiles I feel would be too slippery as we have small kids in the house. But the choices in the market is getting us pretty confused. Need some sound advice. Thanks
Absolutely what Bud said. There is no reason to think ceramic tiles are always more slippery than vinyl or even hardwood. It is much more durable and the easiest to maintain, and it also adds value to the home. In the long run it's also the cheapest to own.
What else would you be happy with? Vinyl...eh? Engineered hardwood? Not with kids or pets. Laminate? It's an upgrade from most vinyls but do you like its appearance and the sound when walking over it?
