Kitchen floor - granite or porcelain?

Hi,
I am refitting my small domestic kitchen and want to lay a floor that's not too expensive but hard wearing. The 7 sq mtr floor will be laid onto a concrete base. I am torn between granite and porcelain but cannot decide which as I want a plain black (or nearest to), glossy finish, and a tile approx size 400 x 400mm or bigger. I have to work out the wastage on these sizes but would like to know if there is a preference in which type of tile to go for first.
Many thanks.

Porcelain is more affordable.
Ceramic does well too and is more affordable than Porcelain.
Your on the right track with tile, just make sure it's installed correctly and your good to go.

Thanks for that. I decided on Granite or Porcelain because it is more hard wearing than Ceramic. Which in your view is best - Granite or Porcelain please?

Yes ..... within reason! I particularly wanted a tile that has no vein or texture. Just plain black - or at least very dark grey. I have seen tiles so far in the UK ranging from 25.00 to 60.00 per sq mtr plus delivery which is the same from 25.00 to 60.00 depending on amount. Obviously I am not needing a great amount so I guess I shall have to a premium on delivery. I just wanted your views on the aesthetics and practicality of either of these types. I just want it to look good and STAY that way! Here's hoping.

Granite is more valuable and expensive
Porcelain is darn tough too....and still valuable...

Just plain black
Hard to find and not used often because it shows EVERYTHING!
Black absolute for granite will work...
