Kickboard dillema!!
A friend wants to do a quick, easy, and cheap spruce on her kitchen. We though peel and stick tile over her existing floor would be good. Would it be necisary to remove the old rubber kickboard/baseboard for the tiles to work?!

you could cut and butt up to it although your cuts will need to be more perfect.

The cut edge of the new tile will likely be slightly higher than the small toe on the existing baseboard and will create cleaning issues. What about the crud and crumbs and filth and debris that will collect along the edges. If the floor is mopped water will remain in the valley. Critters will grow at the edge.

To say nothing of the short life expectancy of the Lick 'N' Stick floor tiles you propose.:)

I don't think it's a very good idea personally.:)
