I have a bathroom that will have a bubble tub on a raised platform. The tile all around is travertine, unhoned.
In the attached picture there's a small strip of wood (circled with orange) that is supporting the tile while the thinset dries. The space where the strip of wood is located should have a tile piece about 5/8" of an inch wide. For those that have ever worked with travertine know that travertine can be challenging and each time I try to cut a strip to fit...it cracks and/or breaks. I am using a wet saw and a light touch.
? -- what else could I use to fill in this space? Light strip? Another material?
I know I'd be able to get it eventually, but man it's stressn' me at the moment.
