ivc vinyl plank flooring

I am being told that this material is fa superior tfar superior to any laminates is this true? Our home builder is looking at using the strip type that is being glued to good one side 3/8 plywood, and I am promised that this flooring is far more expensive and valuable then any laminates is this true? Buying an RTM and the change orders never seem to end. Can someone give me an honest and educated opinion? Thank you Brad

They are both temporary floor covering.
