hey guys. ive done many types of flooring so my best friend wants me to come over and put together this snap together floor over linoleum kitchen floor quick and cheap .......so does the linoleum act as the moisture barrier, so that all i need to put down under the new flooring is the foam underlayment?? ........also a small portion of the subfloor is rotted. he cant afford to replace it and wants to know a solution because this is an old house and its not worth ivesting much money in. maybe a leveling filler designed for this??.............I know its not the propper way to do it but hes on a tight budget and wants to rig it in order to save money. the subfloor isnt rotted halfway through yet. should i just fill it the best way i can with scrap material or is there a better filler solution for this?
