Installing laminate snap together floating floor - lay it which way?

First time to ever install this stuff - the room is a 12x13 bedroom with a closet at one end, the closet is nearly the width of the room with wide sliding doors - the new flooring will extend into the closet as well.

Does it matter or make it easier which way should I run the flooring - parallel or perpendicular to the closet end of the room?

thx!

A room that size can go either way.

True could go either way but if you ever wanted to continue with like flooring outside of the bedroom then it would make a difference; unless the bedroom is on the end of a hall way.

After another read of the instructions I see a note where the manufacturer recommends installation parallel to the primary lighting of the room.

I assume this is to minimize scratches and the like from showing?
