Installing Hardwood Floor butting up to tile

Hi, I will be repacing the hardwood in my kitchen that butts up to the ceramic tile in the hallway. The hardwood runs parallel to the tile. It would make the most sense to start on the opposite wall as that is the flat wall but I have several concerns; first and foremost is the look of the hardwood against the tile. I will be installing 2 1/4in hardwood nailed down. The side with the tile also has some other workarounds and the pantry and I am not adverse to backfilling these other areas. I want to have a full piece against the tile. The tile also has a thin metal strip that I will be running the board along. How do I fasten the board down against the tile without using top nails? I cannot find a relevant post anywhere. Any help would be appreciated surrounding the best starting point and the method of securing the board next to the tile.

There is the Kool Glide, but finding anyone who has one could be difficult and you would not want to spend the $300 for a one time use.
