installing hardwood

What size staples/nails are best to use when installing 3/8 engineered hardwood by Mohawk? It has a regular 3/4 subfloor and i will be using a mini flooring nailer/stapler to install them. Also will staples hold better or are nails the way to go?
Any info is appreciated.

I can use either staples or flooring cleats or glue method.

I've never installed that---but I did see an article that showed serious puckering or dimpling caused by staples that were set to deep and bent the edge of the board enough to show on the shiny surface--

-so. do spend some time setting the nail/staple depth properly----

diagonal nails that are nailed into the groove of the boards. You need to do this by force so that one slat is tightly fixed to the other slat
