Only thing I can offer is never nail a floating floor anywhere. If you nail every third row the two in between will certainly buckle.

Is dry core the home depot floating subfloor?

Dricore subfloor systems: http://www.dricore.com/en/eIndex.aspx

From their website:

Ideal for carpet or floating floors such as laminate or floating engineered hardwood flooring.
