installing carpet on concrete

I got some free used carpet. Tack strip, pad and carpet. I'm going to put it in my basement (which has no moisture issues). How do I go about installing it? Use plastic concrete anchors and screws to hold the tack strip? Spray adhesive on the pad? Then pay someone to come stretch the carpet?

Concrete tack strip nails directly to the concrete. You can glue it to clean dry concrete with PL400 instead. .... Just about any glue will hold the pad to the concrete. Just a bead near the edges and tape the seams with duct tape.

The type of fasteners used in the tackless.

You can pull the nails and try to glue it.
