Install floating floor or my doors first?
Hello,
I am to the flooring stage on finishing my daylight basement; my prehung doors will arrive at the same time as the floor. Any opinions as to which to install 1st? The floor is a floating Armstrong laminate floor. Mainly it wouldn't have occurred to me much except I was wondering about keeping the funny cuts to a minimum around or under the door jambs. My thought is to do the floor first and when I put the doors in I can make the bottom of the jamb shorter. Thanks in advance for any reply. |

Either is fine, if installing doors first, leave clearance to allow sliding the laminate under.

Do the door first, making sure its plum. Should be no problem cutting around the door. Enjoy both projects.
