Indoor/Outdoor Carpet Adhesive
We're trying to spruce up our unfinished basement into a respectable man cave for my husband. We're going to use 6'x9' indoor carpets on the wood subfloor (no cement). The room will be used for his pool table & poker table. I'm thinking I should adhere the carpets to the floor to minimize movement and ridges. I was thinking of using a carpet adhesive from a big box store, but wondering if there is a better option?

I would not glue down if you don't have to do so! You will end up having to deal with it later. Coat the back of the rug with a latex non-slip rug coating. Or better yet get some of the non-slip rug mesh. The padding properties will extend rug life too. Rugs on bare concrete floors can wear and show traffic patterns quickly.
