Impact absorbent flooring

My mother is having a few falls in her home and I was wondering if anyone had heard of an impact absorbing flooring that I could lay in her house so I didn't worry about her so much.

How about a good quality thick pile carpet with a thick underlay. You should watch not to go too spongy though as that in itself can be a trip hazard.

If she is worried about slipping, look on the web at cork flooring. It is soft and you can put a 1/4 inch layer od plain cork under the top layer.
