I want a white carpet!

I have this disgusting dark pink wall to wall carpet in my room and I'm sorta on a budget. I want it to be white so it matches with the rest of my room, can I bleach it or dye it or what. I really need some help because you have no idea how bad this pink carpet is. lol

I want a white carpet!

Hi Mary, yes carpet can be dyed, well at least nylon can. However, there are restrictions on what colors it can be dyed to. White is probably not going to be a choice anywhere - usually they can dye your carpet the same color again for fading or to a darker shade or a darker color. If it's just one room, ask around and get some prices to redo the carpet. You may be surprised that carpeting isn't all that expensive relative to other home improvement. In fact, some lower cost carpeting can be very affordable. Oh, and consider maybe looking into some off shades of white - bright white carpets don't survive very long looking the way they did went they went down. They are nearly impossible to keep clean - kind of like a black car only ten times worse.
