I recently bought a condo. There is a small area (the size of 1' by 2') of the carpet with wrinkles. See photo.
Since the rest carpet is smooth, I don't want to stretch the entire carpet. Any advice on how to smooth (or tighten) the two ridges as shown in the photo?
It may not be worth the effort to re-stretch the old carpet. I'm thinking of replacing the carpet with hardwood floor to match the hardwood in the living room (tiger wood floor).
Any recommendation of good flooring companies in the Northern Virginia area? How to find matching wood?
I'm no a carpet guy--however,I see what looks like a seam that has come loose from the seaming tape---see if that 'crack' is really an open seam--lift one side while pushing down on the other.
You could be right, but that is not a very good picture.
