How to Remove Grout Haze??

Hello All,

I grouted some exterior glazed porcelain tiles and wasn't able to spend much time cleaning; due to incliment weather yesterday and the sun drying it quickly today, in addition to incliment weather. One man crew....

Anyhow, how can I remove a heavy haze as it was proving very difficult to remove from Fridays grouting? I did a better job of cleaning today but a haze will still remain but hopefully not as heavy. I will have about four hours tomorrow afternoon(Sun) and then all day Tuesday.

I used Mapei unsanded polymer grout, btw.

Ralph

Thanks joecaption. BTW, I updated my post as I will be going back over there tomorrow. STRESSING OVER THIS.

I've used vinegar before and will probably bring some tomorrow. Though it is glazed porcelain this tile is very textured and proving hard to clean.

Any other suggestions if the Vinegar doesn't work?

God Bless,
Ralph

The grout lines are only 1/16 due to interlocking tile, so it had to be unsanded. You can see the tile HERE.

Question is, how do I get the haze off after one and two days or possibly three or four days if on Tuesday? Will three to four days prove near impossible to remove the haze? Again, stressing. This is the worst tile I've ever worked with......

How to Remove Grout Haze??

Usually everyone's panties get all bunched up when I suggest muriatic acid, so don't use it. I haven't used any in over a week. Bring a whole selection of brushes. Big brushes, medium brushes, small brushes, and different stiffness brushes. Just bring every brush you have. And bring some of those 3m scrub pads as well. Green ones. Razor scraper also, why not?

If you have a floor buffer, I'd put that in the truck as well. You don't want to get 85 miles away from home and wish you had the floor buffer. And food. Bring some food with you.

If all else fails, remember that the reason the tile has all those clefts and what not in it is so they can trap the grout. Convince yourself that it is supposed to look that way.
