how many teeth

I am installing 3/4 red oak.

I need a new saw blade. How many teeth should it have?

Can I swap my table saw with my miter saw blade?

thanks Tina

Not that big of an issue really for installing wood floors. You're cuts will be covered up by trim, right? Even a 32 tooth general purpose blade will cut sufficient if you don't rush the cut. If it's going to show, bring the saw blade into the wood slow, not fast & you'll get a clean enough cut.

If you are ripping on the table saw, that takes a blade designed for ripping. Miters generally need a blade designed for crosscutting. Those blades are different. More teeth generally means a smoother cut.

thanks guys for your input.

I thought about the trim covering up the ends. I was just wondering if my blade is dull then I thought it might chew it up beyond what the trim would extend over.

The other area I was worried about was the door way.

thanks again
