how to install laminate flooring in bathroom

We are getting ready to install laminate flooring in our bathroom have everything gutted .my question is do you install the laminate flooring around the toilet flange or under it and screw the flange back down through it? The flooring is Swiftlock Sierra Slate 8mm and underlayment padding underneath.

So, is this a full bath or powder room? What type of subfloor system?

I don't believe it's a recommended type of flooring for a 3 piece. Is this made by Armstrong or is it Shaw? Where did you buy it?

You bought it privately? Not sure what that means, but....

I can't recommend you using this stuff in a bathroom. Do the instructions tell you any different? I doubt it'll even pass your local code requirement. But even if the code is neutral on the subject, I wouldn't want a floating floor in a bathroom. A few spills and the subfloor gets damp and it'll take weeks for it to dry. It's not a sanitary floor.

LAMINITE SHOULD NOT BE USED IN A BATHROOM!!!!!!!
#1 Laminate needs to float or it pulls it's self apart.
It full of seams where water can get under the floor.
Gets wet once and it's trash.

Flange goes on top of finished floor. However, I agree with the rest of the inmates, laminate is not ideal for a bathroom of any type!

Haha. Well so much for taking advice. This would be even worse than having carpeting in there. Chances are it won't last, and if you don't keep the proper expansion all around it you're inviting disaster again.
