How to install an elevated area on an unlevel floor?

Hi all,

I'm buying a 1953 50's modern open concept ranch on a scenic river near Fort Wayne.

The house has sat vacant, as the original builder was the first owner, and some of the choices he made have not stood the test of time.

One major issue is due to excessive settling of the foundation (now fixed), the greatroom floor has buckled slightly.

I ran across this picture - and it was inspirational. I want to install a raised section about 20' by 13' and simply eliminate the original floor contour as an issue.

Here is the raised floor that gave me the idea.

That is a fairly simple job---head room must be taken into consideration---also,sunken or raised areas in a house will make the place less desirable for someone with a walker/wheel chair----that might not be something you need to worry about--Mike---
