How high above the floor tiles should base moulding be?
 
Hi. I completed laying ceramic tiles. My walls are drywall. I am ready to install wood base moulding. How high above the floor tiles should base moulding be? Thank you

sorry members... Mods please delete this thread. The answer is right on top of the ceramic tile from advice i just got & from viewing pictures. I did hear someone say put spacers in between the tile & moulding but that was probably a slightly different project.

Base molding (wood) above tile? It can touch or be 1/8" or more above the tile---

then a shoe molding is used to hide any gaps--that is pressed down to the surface of the tile---
