Horizon Laminate Floor from China

I'm planning to replace all the carpet in my house with laminate floor. I have been searching around for a good deal for laminate floor. I found a good deal $1.59/sf for 12mm Horizon (made in China) at Sutherlands. I also found that Eurolaminate is selling the 8.2mm Horizon (made in China) for $.59/sf. Has anyone used these laminate floor before? I'm looking to replace about 1200 sf. So if these laminate floor offer a good quality, then I could have save a huge amount of cash.

Thanks.

Please anyone? I really need your opinion if you have any experience with this brand.

I dont know about that specific brand but I went with a cheaper laminate floor in my basement and I am NOT happy with it. I am very happy with the PERGO brand laminate I installed in the playroom...point is, you do get what you pay for and mainly I see it in the tougue and groove integrety for the click and lock. The cheap stuff has a crappy T&G and is actually harder and more frustrating to install. It also chips A LOT easier than the PERGO...I have two boys and they brutalize floors...the PERGO is almost still flawless after 5 years. The playroom is chipped in areas and just in general doesnt "feel" good. I cant explain it. Maybe your off brand would be better...
Anything that is .59 a Sq/ft has got to be crap...
Make sure that you really look at that T&G structure to be sure it is reasonably strong. If you have never installed it before you will know what I mean as soon as you get into it.

you definately get what you pay for.

like any cheaper product, you will need to take extra care when using these products.
if that's your gig, then you will save initially.
