HELP NEEDED!!! - How to Remove Glue from a Concrete Slab

I have engineered wood on my floor and would like to remove the wood and glue so that the floor can be properly leveled, etc. and the floor replaced with hardwood flooring. I was told the glue could be heated and removed but based on some information I have seen posted on this site that is not a good choice. Today I was told that mineral spirits could be used. Any thoughts as to the best method and/or whether the mineral spirits wold work.

Mineral spirits may keep any future adhesive from bonding. The best way to remove it is scraping or grinding.

So you are pulling up engineered? How are you putting the 3/4 solid down? To get up old glue 4" razor scraper is the best way. Change the blade often. Good luck. Do not glue down the solid wood with out screeds and tar as a moisture barrier. Could you sand and finish the engineered?

HELP NEEDED!!! - How to Remove Glue from a Concrete Slab

I was in the tool rental area in Home Depot yesterday but they said they do not have any equipment for that task. Any idea(s) on another place to check?

There isn't anything wrong with the engineered wood however in certain areas where the wood was put down it pops when it is walked on and although this contractor was recommended to me I don't think they did a good job. So now I am considering trying to replace a section of floor at a time and with a lighter color wood than before.

According to the Home Depot I visited yesterday they do not have such a piece of equipment for rent. Do you have any names of reputable companies that do such work.
