Harmonics Vintage Chestnut from Costco
 

Hi, I just purchased the laminate flooring from costco. The flooring already has a thin pad on the bottom of each piece. Question is, if it is still recommended to put extra padding on the floor before laying the laminate flooring which already has padding. I talked to HomeDepot people and they said it is not necesary. That if I do put the padding it will be to bouncy and that you need just enough padding to muffle the sound.
What are the pros and cons in adding extra padding.

I just installed that exact laminate.

No need to put anymore padding. Too much padding will make it too spongy and put stress on the connection between pieces.

I found the padding already attached to be just right.
