Hardwood reducer to vinyl using elastilon

I have to install a reducer (from 3/8 hardwood to vinyl) under the door. I am using elastilon to install my floor, over concrete. I will have to cut the last piece so that the reducer sit right under the door which mean there will be no tongue to glue it with the reducer.

Will wood glue strong enough to hold the last piece with reducer? I am thinking of having half of the reducer sit on elastilon and the other half glue on the vinyl (using construction adhesive).

Can you please advice?
