Hardwood to Carpet Transition Piece

The wood transition strip (harwood to carpet) leading into one of my bedrooms is slightly raised and loose on one side. I really don't know how it is attached since it's not nailed nor screwed and most likely glued somehow. I tried pulling on the side that's loose, but it doesn't budge. The strip only covers the raw end of the hardwood and merely butts up against the carpet rather than cover it also. This is a slab and I do know that the hardwood planks themselves are glued down. I've attached pictures to show you what I'm dealing with. Any advice on how I can secure it without creating superficial damage to the flooring would be greatly appreciated.

Is that caulk on the edge,if so it could be preventing you from lifting the transition piece up,you should be able to tack it down with a finishing nail.

You were right about the caulking, although I haven't tried to remove it yet. With regards to the finishing nail, there isn't a wood subfloor, but rather just a concrete slab, so I believe it would have to be glued. My concern is that I don't want to rip the whole strip up since more half of it appears to be solidly-attached. With the carpet pushing up against it from one side, there isn't any clearance to work any glue in unless I came in with a syringe of sorts.

Good idea!

Fill a syringe with glue, inject it until some of it oozes out, clean up the ooze, place a heavy weight on it while it cures.

Some of those transitions are in a track. Hard to tell from a picture.

Looks like if I pull out all the caulking around it, I'll have plenty of access to injecting some construction adhesive underneath of it. I'll probably even place some glue right where it meets the door jam as well. I just need to buy a glue syringe and go from there. Thanks
