Hardwood to Carpet Threshold

Hi folks, I bought a matching threshold piece for the transition from my dinning room area which will be hardwood to my living room area which is currently carpet.

My question is what should I use to secure the threshold? Below the carpet and hardwood is wood. Thanks in advance for your help and time.

Constrution adhesive and galvinized finish nails in predrill pilot holes slightly smaller then the nail size, (only need to drill through the threshold) is what I use.
Only reason I use the galvinized is because there rough on the outside so I think they hold better.
