Hardwood to Carpet Threshold

Hi folks, I bought a matching threshold piece for the transition from my dinning room area which will be hardwood to my living room area which is currently carpet.

My question is what should I use to secure the threshold? Below the carpet and hardwood is wood. Thanks in advance for your help and time. :)

Constrution adhesive and galvinized finish nails in predrill pilot holes slightly smaller then the nail size, (only need to drill through the threshold) is what I use.
Only reason I use the galvinized is because there rough on the outside so I think they hold better.
