Question hardiebacker

Could any one tell me what size hardiebacker I need on my kitchen floor . I am installing 12x12 ceramic tile. Should I use 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch

1/4" is fine, unless you need more height, then use 1/2".

5177,

Do you know all the proper steps to installing the Hardie? Only asking cuz that info along with which thickness to use where, is contained in the same brochure. Sounds like you may not have read about how to do it.
