Hard wood on Gypcrete

I am installing radiant heat in 1.5" of gypcrete. I want to add hardwood flooring over that. My contractor wants to install sleepers that he will use to nail down the flooring. I want to glue the flooring straight to the gypcrete.
What do you think?

What does the hardwood manufacturer's instructions say? Gluing to Gypcrete is problematic, but can be done with the proper procedures. Is your hardwood 3/4" thick? If so, it needs to be nailed. You need to supply more info and also refer to the directions from the manufacturer.

Most wood and glue manufacturers are very specific that gypsum based concrete is not suitable to glue hardwood flooring over. Any way you could use portland based concrete instead? Or you could install a floating floor.
