Hairline crack on basment concrete patch job
I'm redoing my bathroom in the basement, while demoing the tile on the floor which was bonded really well to the concrete underneath i broke sections of the concrete. After everything was done i patched it back with quikcrete sandtopping mix and all was fine. I let it dry and cured before walking on it but after a few days of walking over the area that was patch i notice some hair line cracks. The hairline cracks are only in the section i patched and the rest of the floor thru out the basement in fine. Im planning to retile the floor is this gonna be a big issue? If so any recommendation of what to do before i tile? Any advice would be appreciated.

If your patch job is stuck it should be okay. You might dig at it a little and see what happens. When you say tile are you referring to ceramic tile? I would want it smoother if it is Vinyl tile.

Porcelain - no problem.
Don't know about marble. I doubt you have anything to worry about, those cracks have nothing to do with the structural aspects of the home.
