grout cracks near threshhold

I tiled and grouted my kitchen and bathroom floors. They came out great, but my one problem exists in each room at the thresh hold of each room.
As you walk into each room there is a wood molding that transitions from the hallway into the rooms. I grouted between this piece od wood and the end of the tile but for some reason the grout here keeps cracking and coming out. IM assuming its becasue we walk on the wood thresh hold causing the grout to move around and crack. I hope i have explained it clearly. Is there anything I can do differently to prevent the grout from crumbling? Thanks

A transition like that should NEVER be grouted, caulk is how it's done. Even if you didn't walk on the wood it would still crack. Different materials expand and contract naturally at different rates.

Remove the grout and use caulk and your worries are over.

Thanks for the reply. Do they make black and grey caulk? Those are the colors of my grout.

You can buy both sanded and unsanded caulk in any color that grout comes in. Big Box Stores carry a limited supply but real tile outlets can order anything you want.

And YES there are also generic black and grey caulks on hardware store shelves if you don't mind the mis-match.
