Grout Color

When I built my house a few years back, I was told (I think) by the tile vendor that there were only 4 grout colors. I think what they meant was that they only carried 4 or that there were only 4 popular ones - dunno. Anyhow, some of the grout has cracked and I would like to patch the minor cracks with caulk. Attached are pics of the tile. Can anyone tell what the color of the grout is or should I just go to home depot and get a color chart (if they have one)?

Grout Color

looks like bone and saraha, double check the color cards. the tan one may be the next shade darker...actually i'm fairly sure it is. sahara would actually match that ceramic better but i doubt you want to do all the work. that's bone on the travertine looking tile though

Grout Color

Hi there WirelessG,

I’m Mr. Jay with The Home Depot out in Chicago.

It’s a bit hard to tell from the pictures and I’m not sure if it is the same vendor that you used, but we carry Custom Building Products as our grout manufacturer. We actually have 48 different colors for you to pick from, and we do have both take home charts as well as chalk samples for you to look at in the store that best represent the color.

I’d suggest bringing a few pieces in (as large as piece as possible) to one of our stores, and we can help match it up for you. Bare in mind though that new grout and old grout, even of the same color, will look a bit different due to age and wear.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

- Mr. Jay [I’m a Home Depot Store Associate, trained and authorized to help people on the Internet]
