going rate for floor tile job?

want to lay ceramic tile in kitchen, entry, and bath. thinking 13" square tile laid diangle. will need cement board too. are jobs done by the sq. ft., or by hour? bath & entry have small closet, and L shaped bar in kitchen. this will be about 250sq ft total. just wondering (ballpark) what i could expect to pay, and if installers would be interested in a small job like this by ft. or hr.

thanks.

Ask local installers. No one here can give you an accurate estimate for your area unless they live in your area.

going rate for floor tile job?

in Your area, would this be a 'hour job' or a bid job? what would be reasonable price in Your area? not trying to pin you down, just trying to get a rough idea. $5/ft? $8, or$35/hr?

i expect labor is high in MA, but at least it would give me an starting point for evaluating a price or bid. might make me thankful i don't live there.

thanks.
